Enquiry Capture

Why does my website get visits but no enquiries?

A visit is not the same as a potential customer. Diagnose where the journey breaks before paying for more traffic or rebuilding the whole site.

Quick answer

Start by checking traffic intent and the complete contact path on a phone. More visits will not help if people cannot understand the offer or their message never reaches your team.

Check the audience before changing the button

In Search Console or analytics, compare the pages and queries that bring visitors with the services you actually sell. A blog post answering a broad DIY question may attract traffic without purchase intent. Distinguish that from a service page reached by someone looking for a local provider. Do not treat total sessions as a lead forecast.

Follow one real enquiry from a phone

Open the relevant service page on mobile. Can you tell what the business does, where it works, what the next step costs or involves, and how to ask? Tap the phone link and submit a test form. Check that the right person receives it, can reply, and knows which page and service it came from. Fix a broken delivery path before rewriting every headline.

Example: A Costa Blanca plumber may get many visits to a guide on water pressure but few relevant requests. The service page may omit the actual working area and the form may send to an unattended inbox. The first useful change is to clarify coverage and test the handover; a paid campaign would amplify the broken path.

Measure a small set of stages

Track relevant landing-page visits, phone and form starts, successfully received enquiries, qualified conversations, quotes and won jobs separately. Compare equivalent periods and note seasonality. If relevant people reach the page but do not start a contact, review the offer, proof and friction. If they start but nothing arrives, investigate the form. If enquiries arrive but no one responds, assign ownership and a response process.

See how a website guides visitors to an enquiry and examples of published customer websites. To inspect your own path, book a short review. No site change can guarantee a particular number of jobs.
